SPOTLIGHT ON OFFICIALS
Annual Banquet
There was another fantastic annual banquet held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Martin's West. This was a good chance to have the officials get together to swap stories and to share a meal. The main portion of the presentation was the honoring of Lou Engle. Lou has been a member of Board 23 for 45 years. He has most recently served as the board secretary. He has served on IAABO International and was President of IAABO in 1998. He even donned his IAABO "Past President" sport coat for the event. Thanks for all of your years of dedicated and detailed service!
Firefighter Awards
These awards were given out to the "firefighters" of Board 23. These honored officials have been there for the organization at the drop of a hat and they have represented Board 23 well!
"The Captain"...often the authority on hand directing operations at an emergency scene, and may be the one to speak on behalf of the unit to the public through media or other forum

"Probationary Firefighter"...is still undergoing training and evaluation
LeTour Dew
"Battalion Chief"...makes sure that what needs to get done gets done. There is a Battalion Chief on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
