You have an interest in joining the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials, IAABO Board 23.  This brief statement will provide you the information you need to turn your interest into the reality of becoming a member.  Please read it, if you are still interested follow the steps outlined and a member of our membership committee will be in contct with you.  Our season runs from November through March.

IAABO Board 23 (http://www.iaabo23.org) is an organization of officials that has served the Maryland basketball community for over 80 years. IAABO is the premier basketball officiating training organization in the world.

Below we list steps to join, the membership committee will assist you through this process.

1. Be a resident of our territory (If you do not live in this area complete/submit the application and the membership committee will respond with other options)

   1. Baltimore County

   2. Anne Arundel County (North of Route 50)

   3. Howard County

3. Once your application is reviewed and approved you will be contacted (via phone/email) by the membership committee and they will instruct you on how to complete the online training class and pass the entry test administered online by IAABO. 

4. Depending on the time of the year we provide a weekly support group Zoom meeting to assist in taking the class. ​
